June 30, 2023 •Joe Jordan
Shipping can be an expensive affair - you may find yourself paying more for shipping than the price of the item. In this blog, we will explore the shipping services and rates of the three major small parcel shipping carriers to determine how much each carrier charges to ship the smallest possible package.
How Much Does It Cost to Ship the Smallest Package?
For most carriers, the minimum billable weight of a package is 1 pound. Remember that package weight is always rounded up to the nearest whole number. For example, if you want to ship a package that weighs 0.7 pounds, it will be billed as a 1-pound package.
Due to differences in company policies, structures, and rules of operation, package shipping rates vary from carrier to carrier. Below we have the UPS, USPS, and FedEx rates for shipping the smallest package, a 1-pound package.
